NCAA REGULATIONS

AGM, member of the international organization “The Alliance”, is a recruitment agency (“Recruiting agency”) which maintains a professional relationship and direct contact with the NCAA in order to ensure compliance with the current NCAA regulations. Furthermore, the Mooxye digital platform that AGM uses during the scholarship search process is certified by the NCAA as a “scouting service,” which guarantees compliance with quality standards in the exposure of student-athletes to American university coaches.

Some of the most important rules that agencies must comply with, and which may affect the eligibility of student-athletes, are the following:

  • A recruitment agency can share personal information and statistics of student-athletes with university coaches. However, it cannot:
    • Guarantee an NCAA scholarship
    • Charge students a fee based on receiving a scholarship, or based on the amount or percentage of the scholarship obtained
  • The NCAA “Eligibility Center” may require that the student-athlete receiving the scholarship certify their compliance with the recruitment services legislation by asking for:
    • Copies of all documents that the student’s family signed with the agency
    • A description of the services provided by the agency
  • In the case of non-compliance with the NCAA rules, the student-athlete may be penalized, or even become ineligible to receive a scholarship in the  NCAA.

The International Alliance

AGM has joined forces with European agencies to create an organization that will work as a team to identify synergies and common goals in the international education sector of students and athletes. This association of companies will work under the name of The International Alliance and cooperate in different fields:

  • Code of ethics and compilation of good practices in the procedures for obtaining athletic scholarships
  • Cooperation to help university coaches identify talent within the association’s network of contacts
  • Professional development opportunities for young athletes in the sports industry
  • Regional support for the NCAA in different European countries
  • Opportunities for young students and athletes in their transition to the workforce
  • Assistance in the recruitment of international students by American universities
