Different types of scholarships in the United States

There are different possibilities to finance your education in the United States through scholarships offered by American universities. These aids are processed during the process of admission to them.

Academic Scholarship

Academic scholarships exist in most American universities, and are aimed at those students of high academic standing. The most important variable that universities evaluate to determine the amount to receive in academic scholarships is the result of the SAT, although some institutions also value the level of TOEFL and the GPA (average grade), the academic record in the baccalaureate.

Academic scholarships can range from $ 1,000 to more than $ 40,000 per year, with higher-cost universities offering more attractive financial packages to help with the total cost of studying at their centers, and thus allowing students with fewer means.

• Mark of more than 1100 in the SAT, counting only the sections of Critical Reading and Maths.
• Excellent record in high school (Average grade higher than 8.5 / 10)

Internacional Scholarship

International scholarships are offered by universities interested in the international diversity of their campus, or by centers that have a growth strategy based on international students or from certain regions or countries.

Most of the universities that AGM works with and offer these types of scholarships represent an annual investment of between $ 15,000 and $ 20,000 per academic year.

Additional requirements for international scholarships:

• To be admitted to university
• Result of more than 61 over 120 on the TOEFL English test
• Result of 900 in the two sections of the SAT exam
• Do not be a citizen of the United States.
